Was it when i first saw u with the veil on back then in ramadhan 2001?
Or was it when I read your blog on fs?
Did it happen when you downloaded the song?
Or was it when you said you had the drama’s I wanted?
It could be any out of all the possibilities
But surely our moments so far ain’t no possibility :)
Was it when u said you’ve been reading my writings?

Last pieces of freetime back then😀

Co-posted it on my facebook, didn't know it would be replied back by former colleagues.
A testament of what really happened back then. The last of the best times before things changed for good.

Greenery among the concretes
via Instagram http://ift.tt/1BmTirW
Deliberately went here. Around a kilo or so from the Cikini Station, it really was worth it as the pigeons and park conditions were kept pristine.
Jakarta really should have more of these places, at least on every kelurahan or kecamatan. We don't need malls, just some friendly place to stroll out for leasure time.
We need more of this in Jakarta

Just rained heavily the night before. But it didn't stop us from visiting this place.
The favorite thing here is that they also have sports facilities to cater for community needs. Not something found often in Indonesia, where even for such necessities you have to pay....

Personality colour, wonder how it'll evolve
via Instagram http://ift.tt/1ytsLad
The color arrangement was a result of my assessment entering into office. While it did help me map my preferences, I wonder how it will help me garner more traction into my career?

Everyone wants to go home!
via Instagram http://ift.tt/1yiYNlq
A common sight just after dusk in Jakarta, where people rush back home in the popular Depok/Bogor Line.
The line itself is very useful as it enables people to go thru places along the line without having to bother on the traffic, and also for its affordability.
Just realized
Just realized...the total posts of this year has surpass the ones from previous years till 2009. Jeez...I guess I've been very busy and lacking the time and creativity to post anything.
Well...it it weren't for the latest things from my Smartphone, I guess I wouldn't be back here with my rumblings and so on.
Hope it keep going on :)

Finally...got the latest update on my handset! ^^
So...its been 2 updates since I've had it in the last 1.5 years. Hopefully it could stand as long as it can. The balanced specs, and the fact that its line will get the latest update is why I opted for the current one I'm holding right now.
Lets see how this candy fares

We had one before I journey to the airport. But, guess it wasn't enough. So, we feasted ourselves to some "lavish" western style brekkie, courtesy of the biggest Coffee chain in the world.

Side by side till the afterlife
via Instagram http://ift.tt/1ulQWkk
Just after the last soil was put....
It was an honor, and last duty to help bury her, side by side with her late husband.
Being deep down 2 meters, my only prayers is that her deeds are enough to enlighten her throughout the afterlife.
It also serves as a reminder for me, how good have I gone?

This room will never be the same again
via Instagram http://ift.tt/1r4PR0r
Back again in Malang...this time on such sad occasion.
So...its been 15 years since grandfather pass away, and 8 years since my great grand mother. The last elder standing in the family.
The only consolation was that I was able to meet her, support and bid my farewell before she succumbed to her illness. Story said, she closed her eyes peacefully and quietly. Khusnul Khotimah they say....
Nevertheless, with her gone, the room will never be the same again. The remaining pictures will be the last remnants of her legacy as it'll be immortalized forever by her decendents.

Still one of my ongoing habits 😅
via Instagram http://ift.tt/1qVGZKo
On old habit I carried on from Perth. Remnants of the time when I just suddenly woke up, thirsty for water, and had nothing to do besides munching anything in the fridge while wondering.....how good will I survive myself down under.

Took this from the 16th floor while on the break of LEGO training.
Jakarta now looks awful with most of the roads like that in the picture. However, I believe its for the better good. It's bout time Jakarta (and Indonesia) had their own tube running.
Though decades late, its better than never. We just have to endure it for the next couple of years, so we can finally bear the fruits of patience and reap the results of better public transportation.

One of my getaways when I'm bored on desk.
The shop sells one of the best bubble tea I've had. Luckily they've managed to decorate the small sized shop into a lovely bright nuanced hangout place.

A still relevant condition today
via Instagram http://ift.tt/1pT8xFb
Its all bout the mobile internet quality in Indonesia
Whatever the provider is, you'll pretty much have to rely on good location to get even a decent signal.
Otherwise, it'll just turn your smartphone to dumbphone....

A typical brekkie back then down under 😎
via Instagram http://ift.tt/1E9BBcv
I do remember this, it was on Sunday, a perfect day to go lazy.
Still staying at Leach Hwy back then. Had only those for my brekkie, so....ate them all.
Eccentric and weird the mixture may be, at least it got me full and energized for the day ;-)

Bought it before lebaran I think. Just love the motives and cloth. Still hadn't had the chance and time to tailor it into a nice shirt.
Still wondering, which shall I start first with.......

Just when you entered the station, and that the announcement says the train will be due in a matter of seconds at the opposite platform, you know you've just gotta act like Usain Bolt and dash to make it inside.
Well...I made it, with a heavy breathing and (almost) sprained ankle...what a poor stamina I have for someone my age.... :(
PS: Anyway...I made it home early :D

Regram from @dagelan Learnt this for a full 2yrs not long ago, while not fully adaptable in Indonesia, at least we can learn not to directly stick our nose into someone's business or choice
via Instagram http://ift.tt/1vyPP2b
Found this on one of the accounts I followed
Can't help appreciating this picture. Like I said in my IG acc, the above words aren't fully applicable here in Indonesia, mainly due to cultural and religious perspectives. However, at least I agree to the point that it should stop us from directly poking our noses into ones business or choice.
Such attitude is very pandemic across Indonesia, to the point it's almost very annoying if you ever come across a person with that attitude. Yeah we should be attentive and caring to others and our surroundings. But poking our noses upfront on others? Nah nah nah.....
Sometimes, we should just let others choose their way and mind our own business. Till it really becomes a widespread social problem, then we should all just stay cool and appreciate other's choice.
*Again like I said, the above words cannot fully be applicable...
Jimbaran Dinner
via Instagram http://ift.tt/1sZtlp1
Thank God IG has some cool filters. Truthfully, the picture had a back light effect, rendering it almost un visible. So I did some tinkering and VOILA!! Had the picture back to life :D
The picture was back in September, on my department training. As it was just a one night trip, we had our dinner on Jimbaran Beach, savoring our mouths with splendid seafoods, and a mouthfull of Karaoke's later on.
But the best part was having it all by the sunset. While not solemn as I'd like it to be, it wasn't bad.
Empty Lane on Sunday Morning
via Instagram http://ift.tt/1vvRUM2
Had to abru ptly head to my apaato from ma ol' man's house in Sunday morning, as some my lady's goods were left there.
As I was still too tired and sleepy to hop ride on till Kalibata, I opted for the train. Bad luck for me, what I though was a direct line thru Kalibata, turned out that I had to transit in Manggarai.
But unlike the usual busty and hustling of the weekdays, the platform was fairly....alive. This was only a number of people were there on each platform. Can't mind it...it's still around 6am on Sundays :p

When things were lonely and cold back then
via Instagram http://ift.tt/100R4hA
This iconic picture. The title speaks for itself, as it was a testament of those cold and lonely nights.
If I'm not mistaken, this was in my 2nd semester, around August or September 2008. Back then, winter was just bout to cease. But the thermometer hadn't passed the 15 degree mark. So, having something hot at the night was a routine for me.
I guess nothing from that picture is still with me here. The laptop went KABOOM something like a year later on. As for the utensils, I guess I gave them to my housemates before I returned for good to Indonesia.
But one thing for sure remains from that picture, the memory, the experience, the lessons learnt :)

The Biggest Purchase
Ever
dreamt of having your own house, from your own money, by your own sweat?
Guess
everyone does, who doesn’t? Thing is, nowadays, such dream are becoming and
becoming more utopic.
Face
it, soaring land prices, (Over) Priced houese from the developers. On top of
that, average or (if not to say) low salary and rising living costs. All these
summed up together, getting your own house would be a heck of struggle.
Applied
on me? Sure it does, especially here in Jakarta. Even seeking outside Jakarta,
the prices are fairly similar. Sometimes, the prices doesn’t even compensate
for the lack of infrastructures to it.
Like it
or not, I had to face this issue sooner or later. Being the head of the family,
your in the constant position to always seek out ways to improve and better the
lives of your family. Having your own house is just one of them.
Do I
hate my current house? Hell no! Well, its just not that I hate it, but it’s
just bout anticipating my future. Staying in a (said) subsidized flat just
besides the national heroes cemetry, things are fairly OKAY for the moment. Just
meters away within walking distance to the train station, a shopping center
just at the basement, and all amenities within close range, what more can you
ask?
Well...like
I said, its about the future. In a flat, you don;t have the luxury of space. In
a somewhat 30m2 unit, things
are pretty much packed. No room for useless things. All items must be of
essential need and can be stored tedily. Otherwise, I risk making my unit a
pile of garbage storage. Not to mention the lack of a garden. Meaning that there’s
no green thingy to watch on and get that fresh and natural feelin.
Over
the past few month, I’ve been eyed with this new land opening from a house
developer in South West of Jakarta. Well, its not technically Jakarta. Anyway,
since then and till now, I’m in the struggle get this house within my grasp. Although
some sacrifices will ensue.
The
only way I can ensre it is to secure a house loan from my office. But that
means, I’m kinda pawning my life to my office. Asides from the fact that I can
set it to another house mortgage or new office, I’ll be pretty much stay for
the rest of my life.
Is it
worth it? For me now....YES?? In my circumstances, I think its now bout now or
never. Some years back, I wouldn’t be thinking of doing so. But as you get
older, get more commitments, and looking prices at a never ending upward trend,
you’ve just gotta have the guts.
Luckily,
I’ve somewhat secured help from my ol’ man. However, I’ll be sure to repay him
as soon as I can afford it. Man, I sure owe lots in my life. Even till now when
I’m in need for a housing fund. Just need to get the paperwork right in all
parts, and hopefully, I can secure the deal in the next month.
Sure
time is ticking for me. Thus everyday, its an adrenaline rush. However, if I
vision the future that I want, I guess its gonna be worth it. As for myself
being tied, I don’t mind for the moment. Let’s just think bout it when you’ve
already hit the upper ceiling. Not to say that I’ve haven’t. But this thing
makes the ceiling go higher, and forces yourself to reach that upper ceiling.
For the
future.....

On our trip to Bali 19-23 September 2014, at Uluwatu Temples
Damn it was a scorching noon. But I made sure it wouldn't hinder our plan to make the day full of visits. Surely the ocean view was breathtaking. However, we had to make sure no monkeys were eyeing for our goods. That's why we had a local tourist guide guard and talk us through the site trip. Free? naahh :p....just for around 100 somethin laah xD.

via Instagram http://ift.tt/1DGONaz
On our trip to Bali 19-23 September 2014, at Garuda Wisnu Kencana Site
Honestly, the dances were the only interesting stuff here. It was mainly due the incompleteness of the said statue (guess its been more than a decade).
So here we were, having a selfie. Even after a scorching and tired day (after around 3 or 4 sites before), we still managed to keep smilin and happy ^_^.

I guess it was around February 2010, back then in my last days in Perth. Though in the midst of a vert hot summer, managed to get here with Pandu's family as they visited Perth. Although no flowers were bloomin, luckily we managed to savor the serene view and landscape of the gardens.
