The A-Z of modern Life (Part 1)

Android (A)

Naaah. . . this ain’t a robot. Well . . . its sorta, but just on the picture, one little green robot that is able to rock the world of mobile communication. Being the an open source mobile OS launched in 2009, it now is one of the fastest growing OS in the world, rivaling the iOS used in iPhones.

What makes this OS special is its openness. Being an open source, it makes people to easily tweak and do anything to it even to then codings of the software, not something you can do to a proprietary OS like Symbian or iOS. And the growing number of apps on the market speaks of it self as how many and many people are flocking to use this thing.

If you may think its gonna blow a hole on yer wallet, think again. As an open source (again), phone developers have the ability to customize it to the phone specs. By doing so, even small spec mobiles are able to use this green dude. The only difference comes in speed of processing due to spec limitation. So, you don’t need to worry about blowing your savings to get one of these.

Blogger (B)

One of those famous blogging sites out there, makes life easier when you have to tell out your thoughts and ideas on the net in words. Though i’ld personally think the tweaking for our blogs are kinds hard and with limited choices, it still free though :p. And most of all, it’s owned by google, so your pretty much integrated with all other google services which makes things easier if your gonna matchem up with other services like youtube and mail maybe.

Detik (D)

A long time news portal from Indonesia. Delivering updated news second by second as the name implies. Not juts ordinary news, but all kind of news, from politics, economy, social, celebrities, tech, sports and health, just name it lah. Really useful if your pretty lazy on browsing other news sources as it compiles most of the news available from very much point of views.

Facebook (F)

Ok . . . who hasn’t has a facebook? The biggest social network site in the world has put its claws in Indonesia around 2009-2010 perhaps. Surpassing myspace and the now morfed friendster, it sure has become one helluva giant. But thumbs up really goes to Mark Zuckerberg who always brings out something new for facebook. Not only as a social network, but we are able to chat, do e-mails game online. In Indonesia, it also has become some kind of a marketing tool to sell goods here & there.

However, it really goes back to its basic function, connecting people. Finding long lost friends from the past are way simpler nowadays, as long as they aren’t completely of the grid. Also communicating with people as human get more mobile nowadays is also made fun with the comment function on the wall. Privacy? I guess this is where facebook wins as we are able to set the privacy perimeters, one things its predecessors lacked.

Google (G)

The ultimate search engine that everyone would refer too. News has it that even some people already consider it as a god due to its massive abilities, from just a search engine, to maps, translator and so on. It now even has created the open source android OS for mobile phones. For me personally, its one of those few things nowadays that really has made a huge impact on how we do things daily. You can almost find any thing on google. As they say . . . just google it :D.

iPod (I)

Pot e pot . . . . the revolusionary gadget that changed the music, computer and mobile industry. Its sleek design and breakthrough features have followed on to its other siblings such as the iPhone and iPad. But for the iPod itself, listening to music has changed lately. Not only making it more compact, but also how you get it over the web. Still awaiting other related “i” things from apple ;)

Kaskus (K)

As the tagline says . . . the biggest forum in Indonesia. It surely does live of to its name. Hosting hundreds of dozen of threads from everything all across Indonesia and areas that have Indonesians, kaskus now is even transforming itself to a e-commerce hub with its FJB. Sorta of a localized version of ebay, its more of an online meeting point. Despite still sounding manual compared to ebay and other counterpart, its still one of the most used and famous places to buy and sell online in Indonesia.

Mozilla (M)

The fox that’s chewing IE slowly. Well, it still has other competitors like Opera and the new Chrome. But for me, mozilla’s still number 1 ;). Its getting more sleek in terms of design and also quicker. Moreover, the menu for me is quite similar to IE, hence I don’t have to bother adapting myself to the other words in the menu’s of other browsers :p.

Deployment Chronicles~Risk Administration (Middle Market)

Up i go to the third floor again. And for another first time, I’m confined in a room, specifically for the middle market risk unit, one sort of an autonomous unit under the RAD. Why I say autonomous, is because all the unit here, like CMU and OMU, aren’t really related to each other asides the fact that they both control risks. Hence, its sort of odd when they all seldom interact with each other as their work requires little so.

As it says market, its somehow of a policeman towards what the treasury does. So, its kinda more close of a relationship to the dealing room compared to the others. The benefit? Often gettin free meals and snack when any of the dealers are having an occasion. Sort of inviting some jealousy from the other units :D.

The first days here, were not only on dealing with learning the ins and outs of the place, it was more on swifting my mindset. Having been six month in the ops departments, my mindset was kinda set at having to help out others with their work ASAP. And since it was more practical and physical, it didn’t take long for us to do so. But in the middle office, we had to have a better grip of the work, the products, and the workflow. So we couldn’t just rashly go and help others. We had to move at a sure but steady pace.

So for the first weeks, I was almost left with nothing real to do asides attaching myself to one of the staffs, learning, asking and taking notes on what they were doing. Asides so, I was also left learning the treasury products, which to be honest, have some twist in them. This hindered us from understanding them quickly. It wasn’t until the second month there that I finally had the chance to do some real work, still under the supervision of a senior staff.

It was around March or so, that i finally had the chance to do the work with almost no direct supervising. As time moved on, I was given the chance to learn other duties. On several occasions, I was also given the chance to contact other staff to discuss certain aspects of work. All these slowly build up my knowledge and guts in work interaction.

But what excites me in this unit, is the fact that you get the chance to know things of the front offices work, without having the need to handle it first time. It’s useful as a stepping stone and as a learning process, since you mostly have the time to get use of things by yourself. This is the case for most middle office deployments like KYC/AML, RMD and PIP.

One another side, the time here in the MMU, i gained a lot of weight, all to the likings of the staffs there who really like to snack and dine out. I guess that’s what happens when most of the staffs are women -_________-;. Another thing is that I managed to travel in a consecutive 4 months, to Singapore, Jogja (2x), and Malang. But
I guess this was due to to piling boredom of working in middle office. Its the routine that often kills.

Anyway, that’s almost all on my time there. New place new things, I guess that what I’m gonna face when entering my new office. See ya next time ;-).

Deployment Chronicles~Operation Departments

Just a sudden idea, the thought of writing down my experiences over the past deployments. 4 rounds in 1 year. Time does flies. With 6 months in operations, 4 month start in middle. Not to mention the 2 months training in the start, its as if we’re already veterans having gulpped so much things over those time. The writing here will go on till the very last round. It’ll be 2 for starters. The first one i thought to summarized it as each operation round was just 2 months.

Foreign remittance for starters. In between July till September, things were where job started. Had a rocky start since my body had to adapt, experiencing nose bleeds till typhoid. The work itself was really stamina stretching as we often had to work till seven. And for info, the office hours are officially till 4.30 pm :p.

The co workers, though most of them were middle aged, were really helpful in lending a hand with our first time in office. Though just seem about remitting foreign money, this the start of where we got to know the ins and outs of banking. It was also here that I experienced my first ramadhan since working, another new feeling asides having it in aussie for the last two years before.

After having a half month extension, I moved on to the new round. Originally to Deposit, things changed a week before with a sudden announcement that I was placed at Credit service.Ok . . . that’s gonna be around 4 units in just two month. Another lot of things to handle. Lucky or not, I didn’t managed to get a taste of all units till the very end. Only managed to be in the loan unit with a few trips of learning at the bank guarantee unit. Export and import units were left untouched. This also happened to my co TRP mates who were deployed there.

Under staffing was mostly the main cause. Hence, I couldn’t let myself ho to other units while my current one was bleeding with less people. Nevertheless, it was at this place that i managed to get a more broader perspective of other banking areas. As the unit was mainly about executing loan transactions, its was mostly about credits and their basics. Also i had the first time to interact with staffs from the second floor where main business activities were usually carried out.

The work itself was kinda detailed and involving loads of paper work. And as a loan fighter, I had to quickly summarized them soon to be able to act as a helping hand to the current unit. Time flew and finally I was getting a grip on things by the third week. By the end of my time here, we also had to prepare for our performance at the Branch Seminar. Having to dance Beyonce’s Single ladies, trust me . . . that’s gonna be my first and last shameful performance in front of a huge crowd -________-;

Third round . . . account service. Back to the first floor. The place was rite besides the foreign remittance. This is one of the slow and laxiest department in operations, as you normally get to home at around 5-6 pm on normal days. This place has a lot of things to study, which are not as intertwined with each others. They involve preparing fax remittances, account maintenance, and petty cash execution. As being one of the laxiest, thing were kinda a tand slow at start, having to figure out what the hell to do. I even had one day were I managed to do nothing but just reading manuals and procedures.

But that was just one day. The next was simultaneous periods of working as ai got to know the know hows. It was here that we finally got to plan our TRP first major get away to singapore for the upcoming months in middle and front office. With christmast and new years passing by, all of a sudden, we already had our operations past by.
Though only half a year, I believe our time in this place really helped us set a foot in the office. It also serves to mold our attitudes and mindset to our work. Next stop would be te middle/front office, where new things are bound for us . . . were no TRP has gone before . . .

Ngemal sampe Gempor!! (Part 2)

1.Grand Indonesia

Mal yangs super duper nyempil ditengah kesumpekan Jakarta.

. . gw rasa bagus ngga’ nya urusan fashion emang berbanding lurus dengan harga2 yang tercantum padanya . . .

4.Pacific Place
Namanya bener2 unik . . . secara menurut gw bener2 bernuansa bule banget. Lokasi bener2 downtown deket ama perkantoran, cocok bagi bisnis man n women yang ingin shoppin n hangout habis kerja. Palagi emang tetangganya IDX, udah deh. Puas2 mainin saham, foya2 deh disni. Sama kaya FX, nih tempat kagak ada food court.Jadi siap2 aja merogoh kocek lebih dalem kalo emang mo nongkrong disni.

5. Taman Anggrek
Salah satu mal tua. Dah gw kunjungin sejak masih SMP. Tempat sih bener strategis. Saking strategisnya ampe2 bikin macet disekitarnya :)). Not much to say bout ths place. Mirip ama Sency. Sayangnya lokasinya yg bikin macet dah bikin ilfil mo kesana duluan.

Terdapat banyak toko2 kelas dunia from A to Z, just mention it.

3. Pondok Indah Mall
I’ld reckon this one to be one of the oldest mall’s in Jakarta. And until now, its still one of the largest in the southern parts of Jakarta. Dengan letak yang strategis n dilewati jalur busway, mal ini bener2 bisa dikatakan one of the best malls to me. All you can find here lah ;-).

4. ITC Permata Hijau
Other tan that, menurut gw tempat ini cukup decent lah :).

5. Gandaria City
The new kid on the block!! Another superblock mall yang hadir deket rumah gw. Besarnya mungkin bisa dikatakan setara ama Sency kayanya. Begitu pula dengan fasilitas2 n hiburan yang ada didalam, really what you would expect from a modern day supermal. However, tempat ini masih kurang dalam beberapa aspek. Jalurnya yang berada pada jalur macet (ruas jalan arteri pondok indah) kadang bikin agak males kesana. Trus tuk urusan foodcourt, cara bayarnya lumayan ribet gara2 pake kartu prabayar :-S

Surviving in Oz

Ok . . . maybe gw kangen belakangan ama hidup gw setahun lalu di ozzy . .
Eniwei, its all bout what made me survived in Ozzy. Well, pastinya beda2 tiap orang, but then again, its just an illustration of I could do back then during those 2 years. Lets see . . .

1. Yahoo Messenger
First things first, gw harus berterima kasih ama di sopwer. . . pake YM pu bisa disambi dengan ngerjain tugas (kcuali emang bener2 butuh konsen lho yo :p). Bener2 gw harus bersyukur dah ada sopwer ini. Really can’t imagine life would be without n

2. Internet
. . mulai dari BoA, laruku, manga, anime sampe drama. Just imagine . . .unlimited di kos, 7gb pribadi n 1 gb di kampus (sempet unlimited c dulunya :p). Sungguh . . . . masa2 indah yang entah kan terulang lagi . . . . .

3. Pecel
Panganan ndeso nan ngangeni >:D< . . . . itu bumbu bikinan MALANG!!! Subhanallah . . . . jan hidup AREMA . . . g kemana2 ada dimana yeahh !!! Eniwei. Mangan lecep iki jan nggarakno awak iki rasane koyo mulih kampung ae, muantap vokoke :D

4. Casual Work
Okay . . . to be honest, walo kliatan capek, gw saranin banget tuk bisa kerja di luar. But trust me, the benefits are way bigger if you are able to manage things properly. Banyak deh, its obviously worth the effort :D.

5. Get engaged with national organizations

Tapi kalo engga pun its not problem.

6. Personal Skills

Emang sih bakal kluar banyak usaha n dana. But believe me, every thing is worth it as it’ll enrich our self capability and confidence. As they say. . . there’ aint’ free lunch :). For me personallym the things i was able to learn autodically was things such as cooking, repairing my bicycle, DIY stuffs and commuting alone B-).

I guess there’s loads left, but these six are the basics that I thingss have saved me from those times. If possible, might add some later on in a same title or even different one. Lets see later on . . . jya ne :).

Was it?

Was it when i first saw u with the veil on back then in ramadhan 2001?

Or was it when I read your blog on fs?

Did it happen when you downloaded the song?

Or was it when you said you had the drama’s I wanted?

It could be any out of all the possibilities

But surely our moments so far ain’t no possibility :)

Was it when u said you’ve been reading my writings?

Or was it when you said . . . you liked me too :D ?

All about ozzy (Part 1)

The barbie’s on lakeside . . . or maybe on the riverside, accompanied by the sunset

The blue sky above, barely any clouds seen, could either be mixed in the heat or the breeze

Cycling from places, easy as it comes as the lane is reserved just for us, just remember ur helmet and stay alert :)

Or you can just hop on the train or the bus, do bring your fully loaded smartrider to ease things

Hungry? Just stop by at your favorite kebab parlor and have a juicy bite of those tender lamb meat inside *sluurrpppnyamnyam

Or if its just a thirst quencer that you need . . . just find some fountains that can be seen almost everwhere :p

The clean streets and roads, all with the happy go life that they live, is far away from the bust

That’ll constantly put your mind at peace . . .

(to be continued . . . .)

Two Cups

Coffee . . . a rich flavored beverage that has shapened up civilization till now

Chocolate . . . a sweetness that have made people flock around for its taste

Being poured into the white mug . . . it adds atmosphere to the place its served

It brings liveliness to the room

It addresses the mouth with all the best a taste bud could feel

And it gives you fondness to enjoy the talks after that

Just taking a sip of it . . . it prompts us to take the eternity of being together

Endless fondness thru chit chats are made genuinely as our thirst is being quenced

Until the last slurp . . . it makes us go for more, for the moment is what makes us want to hold hands forever . . . . :)

When experience matters

Time flies . . . and all of a sudden . . . we’re just into the 5th round of deployment, or the second ever since entering the middle/front offices. Damn i guess a lot of things have happened over the past 4 months in MMU. From the lamest to the greatest . . . . just name it ... from weekend-ing at Singapore, double visiting Jogja and a trip to Malang. Well . . . i guess I’ve spent at least once a month going outside city. Can’t help it though, with the increasing routines and workload to swallow up, your bound to do such things sooner or later, even if it does cost some bucks, its worth it :)

And now, we’re in the CAD a.K.a Credit Analyst Department. Well, after having some heart popping weekdays preparing the BSMR test, we can now all move on the next phase. Damn it took time for the HR’s to figure out our placements. It took until H-2 for them to finally announce our destiny. Though i got the news while in Jogja, I ket following who went where. While some people did go to places where they wanted and where expected to do so, some others still didn’t. But that’s what you expect from the HR’s . . . . always with the element of surprise :p.

Anyway . . . first day of the month, of I went with two others. To be honest, every first things feel daunting, and I do still feel so even when having moving to new places. Regardless of the fact that the job description here ain’t something alien for me though as a former accounting student before, doing it first handily in the real world was something different. It’s full of the real consequences . . .

Therefore, off i went filling the first day with having myself in a mode of stage fever. Knowing what to do as I was given an assignment to analyze a certain company’s loan renewal, I was left awestruck without having a clue on what and where to begin. In the end of the day, all i managed to do was just reading out the manuals and previous works on how to get things started.

After a days break due to public holiday, the last day of the week back in office was way better (in my standards :p). I just started of with the simplest of task first. As the day started off, I received more instructions on what to do next. Hence forth, the day ended of with a days full of analyzing the financial reports. Really, even though it was just basically reading the numbers and the relationship in between them, it really left me hell drained out body and soul. Luckily I managed to have some good hang out with my TRP mates to let loose the stress out due to office the nite later.

In overall, I do somehow have mixed feelings having being placed here currently. While i cannot deny the fact that this current placement is in line with my academic qualifications, but i do realize that the job itself is more daunting since we’re talking bout real life cases. The fact that while it says its all bout analyzing, to me . . . its more bout an art being covered with calculations. There’s no shortcut in doind the job. While you can study the basics in college, what makes you a seasoned analyzer is the degree of exposure you get from doing the job continuously over and over again. Or in short . . . experience matters !

I know its normal feel helpless since i’ve just done 2 days of work. But the sheer anxiety within me keeps me from always prompting myself to keep up with the achievements of the previous rounds. Not to mention that my pride of an accounting alumni puts me on the edge to keep performing as what others expect me to do so. All i can do right now to keep opening up those accounting books of mine while also praying for the best so that I can end this round in a happy state insya Allah :)

175 . . . enough far an Indonesian to be called tall *really?

18.5 years . . . too long to take into the workforce

10 years . . . is it enough to make me mature?

Fond-Due

Like a liquid of possibilities . . we find ourselves in the whirlpool of crossroads.

Gettin closer, the swirl ends and off we are to each ends of the pool

Running and rotating each other, we see yet it is only when the spoon is dipped and rotated, only we can get back to the whirlpool of fondness

A sudden dip can abruptly stop the greet, but hey . . . only a cruel would dare to do such things

Served hot . . . such bond should always kept this way, for coldness it the sign of being thrown away

Melting like cheese . . . the sweetness must be preserved in anyway, for it keeps the smile awake

The fondness of touch . . . is due closely, as far away ness cannot help the ending swirl of fondness . . .

Epitome of Freakness

Hah . . huh . . . heh . . hoh . . .Hih . . .

An amnesia of thoughts, really has left this soul dry through out the days living mundane stuffs . . . and now I’m already like . . . what the .... what’s going on with me?

An amalgamation of several stuffs such as social, assignments, futures, luckily no past but too much of a present >.<, all stuck up in one cramped room . . .
Not to be a moaner, but recent life has been the typical salary man life. Despite the neat tie, polished shoes and fancy clothes, you just end up doing the basic stuffs to fill out the senior staff’s work. The urge to make something out of the day has really been degraded into mere remembrance lately. Piled up by all other pragmatic errands.

And does it eat me? Somehow . . . YES!! First, you just feel you just wanna go home, lay your bed, be in one random sleep somewhere. Second, you just feel the sudden regret that weekend’s has passed. Third, you crave for any new entertainment that could fill up your soul. The fourth . . . the epitome of all . . . you just yearn and long for one answer. . . . when is all this gonna end??????????????????????Okay . . .it is rhetoric as it all has been decided, round the corner of may and june, but damn . . . it sure seems long. Never thought these times would be this full of boredom in a twisted manner never ever thought of. Then with all these moans, i wonder then . . . what if I’m a permanent staff . . . I’ld reckon feeling the same or even hellish things than I am.

Though saying to keep the positive vibration seems easy, maintaining and finding it is another thing. I guess the only thing to do in these times is to do what we do best at these moments . . . could be anything, but its a try to relinquish the better moments in life we had and use it as a spring or sort to bounce back up to the top I guess.

The next thing I’m eagerly waiting is the chance to take my leave. Really need a good getaway to detox my mind and routines from all the paperwork's of office. Already in the process of doing so, just hope all things go good ;).

I know that writing this wouldn’t do me any good as actions are more needed, but really . . . just felt the urge to write up something load to burn up all the bad things . . . .

two.....

What does it means to be two . . . .?

Well . . . it's obvious that its more than one, having more numbers to it

With two . . . the possibilities are wide open than being a singular being

by two . . . it means there are a pair

With pairs . . . it shows that all things can be done simultaneously

By simultaneously . . . . we learn to do things at a step, with patience but leads to bigger things ahead

By looking ahead, we pray and vibrate all the positive attitudes to envision a dream come true

Again . . . it only needs two . . . not one . . . or even in three's, four's nor fives

Its what God has made things in pairs, so that they go in perfect harmony . . . complementing each other.

Nothing is made perfect . . . therefore . . . it is only in pairs that almost most things work in the universe

It is only by two's . . . that human beings can achieve their compassion

compassion that takes it time to shape and wait for the perfect time to make the two's meet and join

and once a journey of two's has commenced . . . it is a long everlasting voyage that will be full of surprises ^_^

Move or Stay?

Hehehe....again....a series of writing with the related topic. IF before it’s more on in or out, now...it pretty similar, whether to move jobs or stay...Though it might seem to early for me to ask such kind of questions, I believe I might have to ask this question sometime in the future sooner or later.

As far as i’ve known and taught since I was a kid, once you work somewhere, it’s most likely People tend to be more mobile on the jobs they do, move in and our of corporations for all sorts of reason.

As a freshmen, I think as for starters, its more due to the need of ataining self fulfillment. While other aspects might play in such as better salary and more more experience gaining, it all has the same root which is to fulfill ourself one way or another.

Asides in my office, I’ve also seen my friends do the same thing. Most of the time, it’s more on the money which they see as insufficient. Can’t blame people for thinking so as they might have different needs. But for me closely, it might also be due to the lack of fulfillment in non materialistic terms in office.

Be it it job mismatch, unhealthy relationships with co workers, cranky boss, slow promotion or short career levels....these are most of the causes that leads us to get ourselves out of one corporation. In relation to the above cause, I see this in a view that a job is like finding a wive, that could constantly make you at home till the time comes.

And to be honest, the voyage to find such kind of job in a corporation is somehow more of a link and match journey. It might be quick for some, but could end up as a hopping of jobs to jobs. The self contentment of a person is something really relative and not easy to see through.

For myself, I always try to be content on things I receive for I believe there’s always something more for me. But really who knows, life expectations and future development might cause me to question myself, is all this enough and is it the time to take on new things?

Only heaven knows . . . . .

Work in or out?

This ain’t about working out in the gym or in at our house. It’s more literally, as in would we work in our offices, as an employee, or do our own jobs, as in making one and be the employer of other people. A question in which I believe most of us would be asking to yourselves in at least a point in our lives.

I’ve done it myself once before, ad it still keeps lingering in my head as to whether I would be an employer of someone else in the future. Though it might sound an easy question, in reality it takes a lot of consideration to have the guts and embark on this journey. Though you do have the guts, all other things fall in to you and constantly challenges yourself.

The first time I asked this was around my bachelor days. It looked liked one hell of an awesome idea. Had some friends and mates asking me to join them in all sorts of ventures, from the simplest to the bizarre. However, it just never really hooked up to my mind. In the end, I merely just ended up collecting the ideas and experiences from others on what does it really take to be an entrepreneur.

As my days past, I really became more and more anxious on this thing. But i also realized somewhere along the days that this things really takes a lot of things to put at stake. Not only the mind, but money and out time would be put to test. I verified this with various books I’ve read along the way it sure did sound challenging.

The will, the money, the planning, the time and most of all . . . the mentality to put our lives in uncertainty stemming from the unclear nature of doing our own job. It really is something that you cannot do unless you have been exposed properly to the aspects in your life. The mentality to embrace uncertainty, befriend it, and feel constantly challenged with what can be done to overocome such obstacles.

With such aspects, I wouldn’t be surprise of only a handful of people really do end up succesful and both enjoying it at the same time. While i might see some people being successful, but doing both is one thing that I’ve seldom seen. For me, though the skills to be a entepreneur can be studied, it’s more about the proper exposure to the condition and the grown mentality from the early ages that differentiates these people.

But for some people, it’s not bout all those above mentioned things that really matters, its more on the force majeur in their lives that makes them like this. And honestly to say, it really does somehow work out as I’ve also seen loads of people succeeding due to this condition. But then I see the same thing, it’s more on the proper steps to make themselves prepared and exposed to.

Hence forth, I do envy these people, as i find them constantly on the voyage of finding and doing something new in their everyday lives. I to hope one day I have the sufficient preparation to embark on such journey. I don’t want to end up being a salaryman for the rest of my life. There’s gotta be something more in my life surely ;-)

Is it?

Is it your eyes that looks thru my heartat
Is it the touch of your hands that calms me
Or is it the words of your mouth that holds me
Either way . . . I feel soothened by all of them

Is it the way the way the way that you think
Is it the way how you perceive
Or is it the way that you feel
Regardless so . . . I sense tranquility on my mind

Is it how you walk
Is it how you laugh
Or is it how you smile
Nevertheless . . . I’ve found happiness asides me

Be it the winds...or the clouds that comes
it could never stop the red line that connects
Stories, prayers, laughters, heart and touch
Are what keeps us going

Is it how we vision
Is it how we vibrate
Or is it how we pray
Hence forth . . . I see a bright horizon waiting us

A year since then . . .

Eeeeewwwww...tak terasa, hidup berjalan demikian cepat, dan tiba2, you’ve just found yourself setahun hidup di Jakarta, or to say, di Indonesia sejak kembali dari Perth. A chapter of journey that starts up new visions and experience.

Clear is in my mind, that nite that I had to part from Perth back to my country. Really felt sad knowing that a chapter’s life had to end after marvelous times there. But life had to continue on and it was clear for me, that staying there wasn’t the best of the options available.

Touch down on the on going worsening pollution of Jakarta, my thoughts were head focused on applying for jobs. What more had I have to do besides this. Could have started from Perth, but I thought of taking my time there. Here, it took me efforts to apply here and there, including going to job fairs and taking care of my degree credentials, in which sorry to say, didn’t result in anything up till now.

Nevertheless the tight atmosphere of getting a work, I tried my best to enjoy life. Reading books and watching movies from my laptop are just some of the many things I tried to do to occupy myself during to keep my mind from idle. I even had a visit from Somad, one visit in which I thought would be the last for some times to come with my fellow dorm mates. This was bound to come as we were all living our lives somewhere. The best now is to constantly keep in touch through available means.

My efforts on applications only ended up with two being followed up, one of them is where I’m now currently working. As for the other, well, my thought back then on denying the offer was somehow due to my insecure of my own knowledge. Being admitted to such high class corporation would obviously be a perfect match to what I’ve been studying so far. But it seems my lack of of diligence in this field was what held me back. Therefore, it now is part of my history.

On the other side, my admission into one of the biggest asian bank has somehow brought me most of the new and challenging things in life so far. Not only friends, but also perspectives and a whole new attitude regarding work and related matters. All immersed in a beautiful plan from the heavens that always keeps me gracious to Allah SWT from allowing me to experience such feat.

And now, a year has passed. Regardless of all the ups and downs during those times, it never keeps me to feel gracious. It is at times like this and always must we do, to look below on those who cannot reach our current level, say our thanks to Allah SWT for the chance and honor to be given such bounty in life.

God knows what’ll happen from here on, a year later, five years later, and beyond. My only hope is to be able to go all those times in wisdom and be a better person for myself and others. One more thing . . . with memories ;-)

Chasing Lions and Chased by Gudeg

Errrrr....seems i’ve been really loosing myself in time and space. Seem to be lost on when I wrote somethin lately. Guess it was on my starting days in MMU.

As of this place, well, almost 2 months have elapsed. How have I been doing? So so to be honest. The sheer difference of culture and work load has obviously led me to certain changes that had to be done to adapt to what’s happening there.
Speaking of adapting . . . well....fun also had to adapt. This time, we took extreme measures . . . which was . . . chasing merlions :D !! Ok....this was indeed planned 3 months before. But knowing that the day would come really had us all exited and ecstatic.

And so we did have a hell lot of fun there. All things on work were forgotten for those two days and we indulged ourselves in laughter and smile here there and everywhere. Not to mention burning out or money on the things we targeted or what our eyes fancied for.

Back to the room, all souls were invigorated. But for me....I still had other things up on my sleeve, which was letting myself chased by the Gudeg. Ok...ok...not as literally as it seems. But this next trip had to be speeded up. Curtosy of the deployment presentations that popped up suddenly a month ago. With the schedules in place, we had to squeeze up our time to handle things properly.

Therefore,up I went on the train the next two weeks later and of I was to Gudeg city. Though being somethin like the 4 or fifth time going there, it always leads me to the sense of excitement. Obviously though, especially if your gonna meet your love there ;-). As they say, love would find its way.

On this occasion, I made sure things were different as before. Therefore, I rented a motorcycle for my visit there. This made myself more mobile and able to visit places without worrying for the hard public transport over there. This then eventually had us having newer experiences together at places we hadn’t been before.

Well, that’s all for the chase. My next chase would probably be on April as this time, it’s all bout chasing the crazy lion. With the trip being on Easter, it’s gonna be extra time as I’ll be having one day extra fun. Really looking forward to the time. It’s gonna be a whip for me personally so I can do things enthusiastically for that day to come and enjoy it to the max ;-).

Middie Middle

Owwwww . . . . really . . . my life’s writin times has been gettin more and more sparse. Though I have been fillin em up with some random and miscellaneous chants, seems I haven’t been keepin up with my journey. Not thats I didn’t think bout it, but certain matters had to be tended first #alesaaaaaaaaannnnnnn . . . .

Eeeeerrrrr . . . . I guess the last one was when I was still in ASD. Anyway, time has passed by since then, a whole new adventure as spurred up till recently. Things have been vehemently fast tracked and prompts me to keep in touch too.
Done with the back offices in work, it was time for us to move on to the middle and front layers of work. Hence forth, we had to get ourselves use to using our brains more than using our brawns :P. And depending on where u get stranded, u also might need to use our mouth too to work :)).

But before we could move on, out we were thrown to the outskirt for some periodical “conditioning” and so called training. Thanks god, this one was way better in terms of pace and in class materials. Things were more on the soft skill and prep for entering the middle/front depts. The only thing that kept us going goosebumps all thru those moments were the fact that we had to wait till almost the weekend to know our next deployment placement.

In the end, we did get our assignments. Some were expected, some others were quite surprising. However, we had to stay content and be sure that our next adventure had more in store for us than previous encounters had proven. We just had to prepare ourselves mentally for the rest of the week, while also praying for the best for ourselves for the next 4 months as the next rounds were set in 4 months periods.

There I went, this time with Hera, into the MMU. On a good thing, it’s a great place to start things of if u’r interested in goin to the treasury dept one day since this unit monitors, control and manage all the transaction of the Treasury Department, hence, acting as some sort of policeman if anything goes wrong. In short, this place is full of knowledge on the finance side of things.

Nevertheless, all good things must start up roughly, and the same goes for me. Remembering this is indeed a middle office unit, U gotta put more initiative, act more independent and use more of ur brains more than the back. Therefore, things started of pretty much slowly. Especially when our mentor instructed us to concentrate more on the knowledge side of things rather than putting to much efforts on doing the reports done.

That’s why, finishing the third week, we’ve been more on attaching ourselves to the staffs and learning the how to’s and what’s behind every report being done. To be honest, we also had to start of doing some reports, to also get a feel of what’s being done and know for ourselves what’s in store in case a problem happens with that particular report.

Asides that, I can’t complain. Things have been pretty much good. You’ve just gotta see things on the good side as it’ll keep u alive and well. On a personal side of things, I finally got my android phone :P. Really wasn’t planning to get one soon (mosoooooo’’’????) till my other phone was asked by my uncle to be used. In a need for two phone for emergency matters, there I went to get one. My choice landed on the Samsung GT-5510 a.K.a Galaxy 551.

As they say, the graphics are sleek, awesome software to make it a smart phone and most of all . . . its pretty much cheap but powerful compared to an iPhone or a BB. The only downfall is the really drain full battery that can only last for a around 12 hours straight :(. Nevertheless, certain settings had to be made to lasten its usage period. That includes turing off the internet connection when not needed. Besides that, I’m pretty much happy on this new gadget. Lets just pray that it still last long in my hand, considering I bougth this one myself :D.

Guess that’s all for now. I’m currently expecting a three month trip straight from now on, visting one place every once to refresh my life. Hope to feel envigorated after those events. Till then . . . Jya ne ;-)

(To Be) Inspired . . .

Life is a web of connection . . . like an endless spiral of possibilities that could lead you anywhere. The countless numbers of acquaintance and pals that we meet and greet along our journey means that we might be entangled in their slightest manners or habits. The same goes vice versa, it’s usually a matter of who ends up having the highest ability to inspire, to unleash the potential and curiosity of others. On a personal perspective, there have been peoples that have ignited myself to do somethin that I wouldn’t even think of from scratch . . . names are in aliases below :P

1. Young Dancer
Ever since knowing her, our talks almost hit the topic of psychology, which is her field of expertise. It put my mind o a better understanding of how humans think of a clearer pattern. It then prompted me to go on and get a better perspective by gaining insights on this fields by reading the related topics.

2. Real Rasyid
A train freak, or a fan at least :P, hangin out with this dude brought me to natural frontiers which I have to be honest, wouldn’ be thought by me. Things went on by gettin to know bout photography. By now, it’s always exciting to learn all those things from an adventurous person :P
More people would follow, but as for now . . . I’ll put in the first two person. Jya ne.....

Music Memories (Part 3)

1. Kala Cinta Menggoda

Such a song, quite an oldies for me as it was released in the 1998’s. Sometime around my junior high years. Having such an ethnic feel, it makes me reminisce back to those old and ruffian days. Where being with friends was all it meant, where gettin a girl sound cool, where knowing the guitar and drugs where an awesome thing back them for some. Well luckily, I wasn’t that quick on doing either of the mentioned above :D.

2. W~Boiled~Extreme

Lyrically . . . just an ordinary song here. But listening this, it brings me back to the times of being unemployed. Where you were just helpin out your mom and working out everyday, waiting for a lucky reply from any companies that you sent your CV. Attending interviews and tests here and there, I guess this is a song for the unemployed. Might I oftenly listen to this one if by chance I need to get another job later on :P ?

3. Possibility feat Daichi Miura

Ok . . . I do have to admit that this song is one of BoA’s best duet. But its not bout the lyrics, it concerns one of the moments that went kinda silly for me. My first visit to Jogja almost went disastrous as I got ill struck by the time I got the album I’ve been finding and the subtitled video clip. Guess I gotta concentrate on my girl in Jogja when I’m there . . . not on gundam's nor BoA :P

Riding with a mask

Live life like kuuga . . . always smiling and wanting to help others as u learn new things . . .

The world is somehow like where ryuuki goes . . . full of mirrors and images of ourselves in others . . .

You would want to help those that are being in suffer, even though you have to betray your own kind as what Faiz did . . .

Sometime one has to sacrifice their humanity so that others can gain their’s as Blade swore . . .

Be a good cook . . . act cool and be wise #kabutomode

Keep the memories and savor them as you pass by . . . .

Watch out for your buddies . . . keep an eye and support each other ;-)

Don’t worry for the future, as long as u’ve got some money and underwears, everything’s gonna be fine :D

Nde-mot

Hueee . . . . g nyadar . . . moro2 wis sa’ wulan ra nulis opo2 blas . . . fiuuh . . . entah kenapa bisa kelupaan. Padahal kerja ngga’ sibuk2 amat di amat santai dept. Apa mungkin banyaknya kegiatanku dikala senggang yach? From nandar’s visit, dufan and jogja . . . . . huehehe . . . bener juga, jarang2 aq da kegiatan in the weekends for 3 weeks straight :P. Dan menghadapi 2 weekend terakhir, aku tiba2 kembali ngendok ijenan ning omah :)).

And its not also a normal thing for me to relentlessly do such kinda things as I usually would opt for having it in intervals of on-off-on-off and so on. It’s just to preserve my physical and mind energy as I need to recharge them. Not doing so would often lead me to longer terms of shutdown and keeping myself in my man cave . . . and hence people eventually find me in a moody position, which is totally wrong. Its just a matter of perseverance, especially for a introvert like me.

Anyway, as i look back past the month, some revelations do surface again as what has been happening in life, seen and not seen. As a journey as its supposed to be, many lessons, revelations, and insights come back and forth, or even introduce themselves on each route of life taken. The sudden slowdown of pace of work, though obnoxious in the first weeks, seem to unleash their hidden rows of words to my mind.

Being left alone, idle, both mind and physically, hasn’t really been good as the mind keeps goin dull. Somehow, one way or another, u’ve gotta let ur mind to wander and come up with somethin to let go of this induced easiness. Either its about fun or goin serious, one had to speak up!. And so the series of activities above does speak for yourself on how one’s life has been struggling. Success? That’s kinda relative if asked. But what I can be sure is that there’s something for everythin. For what it’s worth, at least I was able to be a bit of yellow past those weeks, which forces myself to be perfect blue all over again. But ur besties, mates and girl, its not so bad of a time ;-)

In the midst of being nde-mot, I really couldn’t ask for more for such amusements. While I eagerly scatter the mot’s of what’s left in my heart, time flies and suddenly brings us to the interval gates of back and middle/front. The past half months couldn’t be any better for me as numerous, if not dozens of things I’ve gone through, be it bad or good. The future is dark, the past has gone, what’s left is a now . . . the present, a clear gift for me. Hence, I guess I should just walk the days, see what life can bring for me. Enjoy every present given and surely there will be somethin in stake for me . . . ciao

Life is a rollercoaster

. . . its bout being tight . . . full of rules and traps . . . you bet you could’ve had some time to breath

. . . its more horrid . . . . as if the storms had been cursed on you . . . but then, the sun suddenly shines after the storms

. . . . you’re left stranded . . . with all the sunshine . . . its turns out to be a fatamorgana . . . leaving you with nothin to do

. . . . your eyes are open to dreams . . . but thunder ripts apart and unleashes a volley of possibilities

. . . going deeper inside, questioning the truths and deceits on what may have sprouted, straightening things up one at a time

. . . face the phase of new lights, that’ll then serve to speeding up the environment and pace round us

It’s all bout shifting gears, back and forth, kicking the throttle and brakes swiftly, while thinking what needs to be finished of first . . . . as you up and downs in seconds

A waiting of the 1st year :D

Hahahahaha . . . . stessed out in work. Just spending our weekend to mybe Bandng a the farthest. You world suddenly feel dull and colored in black and white. You just then think of the time when the 1st year has passed n May later on. All the possibilities . . . all the dreams . . . all the ecstasy just flows into your bloodflow. As this title is dedicated to, lets see the places where I can go and get myself lost after quite some while . . .

1. Singapore
I know it kinda feels cliche or un nationalistic to go to this island country. But I swear that seeing some order in somewhere not Indonesian would really soothe up my mind. Besides, its only an hour away with just a few hundred thousands if u manage to get a promo ticket.

For me personally, its not bout the shopping (where most people are hyped up) nor the foods (Indonesia has better variety), its just simple talking a stroll done the roads and feel the fresh air once in a while. Not to mention stopping by any bookstore and browse for some titles that u might not see in your home city.

2. Malang
Dear sweat ngalam, never could I forget u. Despite the fact that my times in Malang so on would be li’ll bit dull since friends have scattered all over Indonesia, its always nice to come back. Feel the cool mornings and surroundings . . . it just rejuvenates your soul.

But lying in home wouldn’t be bad as there’s always something for me to do back here. It’s usually the small tiny works that are often left due to work that gets me worked up he. Oh yeah . . . there are also my “kids” waiting anxiously for me, letting me playing with them after months of absence. But most of all, its all bout seeing my family here, having a chit chat about life and all unimportant things :P.

3. Yogyakarta
Here, its obviously bout spending my time with my love. But un like usual visits, I’ld really love to go see some places outside the downtown. Even it takes to rent a vehicle, I’ld reckon it’ll be great seeing places that haven’t been visited for a long time or those that I haven’t visited yet.

4. Perth
Hahaha . . . the ultimate place to visit. Its just that I feel indebted to this city. Having the feeling to come see her every once in a while and say hello. Besides, it is this city that have brought me countless memories and experience in such a short time. Just for old times sake . . .

A week full of SHIT!!

Moanday . . . well, start of a week where things just don’t start of your way. When you have to do things against your will. Times where you just have to grumble upon the stuffs being thrown at you.

X-cuseday . . . the miserables continue . . . this time, make up some things to cover up for the mess that has happened. Be it true or false, but the world demands a scape goat or some sugarcoating for all the stains resulted.

Waitnesday . . . and all of a sudden, you’ve been left stranded longin for something you don’t even know its worth waitin for. Left behind and alone . . . . just holdin on . . . just holding on . . .

Thirstday . . . after tire waitin, your left limping and dead thirsty. Draggin your almost dead body and craving for an almost impossible oasis just for a gulp of water . . . . or maybe its just something more abstract that we are thirstful of?

Friedday . . . after being almost dead, your now hot heated being steamed to death due to the intense heat of the world that cooks you till ready to be served to those who have the heart to eat you alive . . . .

Shatteredday . . . .aaaarrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhh . . . . . eaten alive, next thing you’ll find is yourself shattered to piece in a “I don’t know who’s stomach is this” condition. Finding your hand, legs, head and body shattered all over the place, kind feels like you were in hell (or have we arrived there yet?)

Shunnedday . . . . Aaaahhhh . . . .last of the tortures . . . left alone in solitude in some sort of a 2mx2mx2m room . . . enough to leave you out cramped while you squeeze yourself in a miserable space

Hahahaha . . . .jangan khawatir . . . in bukan adegan film atau kejadian nyata yang gw alami. Hanya sekedar khayalan gilak bagaimana jika kita memandang tiap2 hari dengan negative thinking. Those things above might sprout in head. But please, life isn’t as miserable as what I’ve depicted :D

(Un)Wanted

Wanted? Or maybe in fact really unwanted for me . . . anyway . . . here are a list of some things, or items to be precise, that’s been bothering my mind for the past moments. As if there’s been a devil incepted to my soul, endlessly prompting me to burn my wallet and get these things . . . here they are . . . . .

1. Be Be . . . BB . . The Blackberry
Nope, it ain’t some sort of fruit or a juice. It’s nowadays one of those handheld gadgets that you see people hold in their palms every second. Basically a phone, or maybe a smart phone if you wanna keep up 2 date, but what makes it uber famous (in Indonesia) is because of its dedicated Blackberry Messenger thru a sole internet link. Why people are so drooling for this is because they say it’ll keep you in contact every mili second. Add it with a good internet line, you’re pretty much in a virtual neighborhood.

And the fact most of my mates have this puny little thingy, they keep roaring the lame fact that it’ll keep you up in the vibes. Yeah . . . like hell I’ll fall for that. But what’s really itching my mind is the undeniable fact that it gives you unlimited access to the internet (if you use a full package that is). Another thing that has really bothering my faith . . . . T_T.

Hence, up to to this very moment, I’m still clinging on to not buying that gadget. Not only do I lack the money needed so, but I also feel that my current activities haven’t called for such need. So to me . . . it’ll still be a fruit for me, just let it be :P

2. Android Smartphone
Compared to a BB, I’ld really love to buy this one. But then . . . . the lack of money forbids me so. Hahaha . . . and to make things worst, I been buying recent tabloids and magazine on cellphone, making me fantasize on having one >.<

What makes it soooo lovable. Okay . . . it features the android OS itself, which as they say, boast the flexibility to do anything to your phone (due to its linux basis). Next is the availability of having tons of software to customize your phone as you wish. What next?eeerrrr . . . . . . . . . i think its again about the techs itself, boasting the latest techs and specs with it.

But then its all a dream. Coupled with the fact that I still do love my current phone makes me thinking twice on do I really need an Android yet???

3. Credit Card
Ahaaa . . . one of those smart yet devilish cards on earth. Yes it saves you in times of empty wallet, yes it does lead you to a convenient lifestyle having many vendors and places offering discounts and cash backs if you posses a certain card, yes it does gives you the thought that you are rich, but then . . . . . . . its all just an illusion.

Its just basically a card that allows you the privilege to borrow money from your bank. But little do people nowadays realize that by possessing one, you’ld better get your cash flows on track and strict as a late payment would hit you hard wit soaring interest rates. Hence, it’ll only serve you best if you can pay your debts on time and in full payments.

In here, the problems add up, particularly coz of credit card fraud. Regardless where you use it, be it the net or in any vendors, you’re always exposed to the risk of getting your card number stolen. If so, just be prepared for some unwanted usage of your card which might prompt you to cancel your card.
End note, if you decide to have one, makes sure you can manage your money first and have a healthy lifestyle as this card could be both you saviour and devil at the same time.

4. Bigger internet access
Huaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh . . . . . . i wonder why the internet connection in Indonesia SUCKS !! Really makes me miss my times back abroad where I had an abundant amount of bandwith at my disposal T_T.

But thinking of having a bigger access would really blow my wallet. Not only that, you still suffer from the possibility that your speed is not as they promoted in the ads. Therefor, I’m again stuck on how to keep myself connected to the world.

Again, if there were one, which can be searched for, my account keeps reminding me of how low I am on my cash flow each month if I force myself >.<. Thus, its all a in the end, just a dream of something that I hope to have. Better start of by being thankfull for the things I have even though its the least rather than not having anything at all . . . . .

Heads up high

Life is as it is . . . bright . . . dull . . . dark . . .or colorful

It goes back to what glasses we use . . .

Nevertheless, our age would always be a rainbow, shining thru after the rain

They will sometimes be cold, tough, and sometimes frightening

But worry not love, you’re not alone . . . . as we humans are meant to be together

Names may be shouted on us . . . things could be thrown to faces . . . or even stabbed from behind

Fear not dear . . . believe in Karma, and let the heavens do their job, for our lives are too precious for heavens work

Pray for light and forgiveness to be bestowed upon them while we go on thru life

It’s not bout looks . . . its takes heart and mind to whether the journey thru this mundane world, as it’ll wind away and show the eternity of ones soul

Road could lead astray . . . and it would be our belief that’ll keep us on track
Heads up . . . proud enough and smile to the world, for we have got to this moment

Look ever forward . . . see the promised future that we’ve both envisioned, and race thru all things till the heaven’s ring by

Our Nexus

You laugh . . . I laugh . . .

You cry . . . I cry . . .

You moan . . . I listen . . .

You fall . . . I bring you up . . .

You share . . . we enjoy . . .

You astray . . . I remind . . .

You silence . . . I ask why?

You dream . . . we vision

You smile . . . we love . . .

Our hearts intertwined with each other, makes you also do the same with me

Thru tears, laughs and dreams we’ve shared together, we are visioning an endless nexus, unbreakable ever

The thorns would always bite us . . . but it’ll be us to tirelessly grab our hands and go thru it unscathed

It doesn’t always need logic . . . just complement it with our hearts and sense, hence countless possibilities are em bowed to us

Can’t wait to make all this official . . . waiting for the heavens to lay their greetings on us :)

The Extinct~Manga

Graphic novels . . . . or manga as they say in nihongo. I bet, every people nowadays have at least read a manga once. To good to be true, the magic of reading a manga, where you can choose your desired title, really does leave you stunned and leaving wanting to wait for the next chapter.

Practically in Indonesia, graphic novels are from Japan, the percentage is around 97% I believe. It was only recently that those from Korea and the US tried to go thru the Indonesian market offering their variety of titles and genres. Regardless so, each every one of them has their own market.

Back to myself, I can remember reading these tiny books ever since grade 3. Back then in Singapore, it was a luxury to read such books as we had to go to Indonesia to get one that was already translated in Indonesian. I remember that one of my favorite manga was one called “Kenji”. A classic title that even manga oldschoolers till now would highly regard this title due to its story and artwork.

And as I grew older, the title’s I read expanded. But it wasn’t till my Uni days that the number of titles and my enthusiasm towards manga really exploded :P. Hundreds of titles I read and more genres I enjoyed. It surely did in someway, broaden my view of what’s happening in the world in a more surreal graphically way. And it also heightened up my interest in Japanese stuffs as almost of the titles I read where from Japan.

Not only I read them in hard copy format, I also progressed on to downloading the soft copies from the internet. With the number of titles available increasing, I slowly shifted away from my regular comic rental to self picking them from the internet. Not only its cheaper, but we also get the privileged to have them straight or sooner than waiting for the official printed version in Indonesia.

But then . . . why called it extinct? Well....pretty much due to the sudden fact that I just stopped reading them for now apparent reason. To say not reading at all would be wrong cause I do read some selected titles, just for the sake of finishing them of due to their interesting story. No apparent clear reason can be found to why I just stopped suddenly. Guess it might be the thought that I had to move on in life and do something more worthwhile.

Unlike philately where it has been dead and left in the cupboards, manga isn’t total dead to me. It’s just fading away, surely for to be extinct some day in my life. Till then, just enjoy on what’s left . . . .

The Extinct~Philately

Who doesn’t know philately? For total newbies, its practically the hobby of collecting stamps and related items pertaining to it. Though it looks boring, but honestly, it is one of the few hobbies where not only you collect items, but you also get to know all new other things as you go by. This is because stamps always depict something in them which sooner or later, would tickle our curiosity to get to know something new related to their inserted illustration.

Well, that’s enough for the introduction. Let’s start of with one my extinct pet hobbies. To say extinct means that I’ve once had a good time enjoying doing this till I suddenly stopped doing so . . . .

I can’t clearly remember since when I liked stating collection these small perforated items. Guess it was around grade 5 back then in S’pore. It escalated when I moved on living in Jakarta. During these times, I continued to a more serious level by collecting other stamp related items such as FDC’s and stamp sheets. It surely cost me a lot of money, which meant I had to keep saving to be able to get the latest item each every publishing.

By collecting them, it also meant I had to hunt for items that where rare or those that I haven’t had yet back then. And not only collecting all them, but I also had to go all the excitement of carefully covering them with protective plastics to guard them from fungi before storing them in the stamp book. To sum them up, it carefully trained my attention to detail and heart to patiently saving to get new ones.

But as they say, all good things must come to an end. The same goes for philately. My entrance to uni practically robbed my time and attention to take care of my hobby. Hence, it just faded away suddenly without saying good bye.

And now . . . the years have passed since I last brought my last stamp set. Every once in a while, it does tickle me to start collecting stamps again. This nostalgic feeling sure is lovely. But I also have to be honest with myself that current conditions require me to be pragmatic and use my money for better stuffs now and later. Therefore, my dearest collections would pretty be much kept safely in my cupboard, far from light and fungi that could destroy them . . . .

Jugglin

Come on . . . who doesn’t know juggling?you know . . . those kind of things clowns throw and catch at the circuses, throwing 2 till 4 objects, catching and throwing them simultaneously in a steady rhythm. Such entertaining feat at the circuses, little known by us, is somethin, we humans, often long for in our life?

You meab we long for throw and catching items like what those clowns do???nope2 . . . nai2 . . tidak2 . . .it’s not bout the throwing, but it’s all about how we can handling various things in life in a steady rhythm, without having to break any one of what we handle. Jeeezzz...sure sounds tough eh?

Basically, its all bout multitasking. One simple word that sounds easy, but in reality, even the smartest people have a bloody hard time in dealing with this. The ability to take care, handle and think at the same time on all sorts of things in life, One would really wonder, what does it take to be able to juggle all mundane aspects in life?Is there any cheat on being able to synchronize our life?

It’s not all bout the brain . . . but does it need heart?Who knows?Even I’m pondering the answer till this very second. But one thing I feel, its as if we always need someone and or somethin to be precise, to constantly remind us, of what has to be shifted, back and forth, to get our life in shape.

That certain something . . . or someone, is the very fact that we humans, cannot live by ourselves. Our weak and mundane existence shall always call for a reminder, so we know that there are things that we need to take care of and not just think of ourselves.

Its the very harmony of ones self and other to be able to juggle all the things we face in life. Be it seen or not, one must be ready to face all things together . . .

Memelihara Nikmat Terbaik

Always . . . repeating as it does . . yet I seem to fail to learn and stand up again . . . this condition surely shows my ineptness and disregard to live up and guard my health . . . one things that has been constantly laggin my daily activities.

I’ve really wondered what keeps me behind in terms of health and stamina. Memory brings me back to around my high school days. It seems that I always get a streak of common cold every once a year. Things go worse for me on my college years. My bronchitis suddenly went on a rampage, striking me even more every year, limping me as I struggle on to keep up with my studies and my body.

I remember, it was around the end of my bachelor times that I finally got he guts to have some time of my own to start of some joggin session. Though it started slow, I managed to pile it up with some body building and more physical sessions. Even though it all seemed to not have an effect to my outer appearance of my body, I felt the subtle change that my stamina did seem to last a bit longer. Little that I realized that I still had to add em up with a better eating diet. But these enlightenment had to wait till my times down under.

Down under, some way or another, I thought I had to do somethin to keep my health top notch. Otherwise, I might be ending myself frequently visiting the health service center and my local drugstore for being occupied by endless sickness. Lucky enough, my schedules and the meals really did support me to have a better physical exercise and diet. Things finally did show results at the end of my first semester, I really did see a physical difference on my body. Furthermore, I also sensed myself being healthier than before, despite having a common cold once that semester.

Then again, what made my physical appearance and health change was the fact that mos of my times were filled up with physical activities, namely my work in the butcher and cycling everywhere wih ma bike. With all this during the next 1,5 years later on, I guess that what made my health pretty much in top notch condition through out my years down under. Add’em up with meals that seem to have lesser fat and more protein, I seem to enjoy myself for being in my prime time.

Anyway, all good things must come to an end. So does my time there. Then again, I didn't have to wait long to get sick soon as I was suddenly struck with a diarrhea days after I landed in Jakarta. Done with that, I thought to keep my body in shape by exercising every day til also fill up my days waiting for a definite job to come. One thing that I noticed, even though I seem to keep up with my exercise regime, my body was slowly gaining weight. I guess thats all coz of the meal intake here in Indo as they obviously are more dense in fat and cholesterol.

With the coming of a definite job, my heart was once again at ease. But then again, it was another start of a roller coaster as I started to maintain my health and start of a binge eating at the training site. Coupled with the lack of proper exercise and spartaneous work loads when deployment came, I finally succumbed to typhoid symptom >.< . The first in the last 3 years, this really stroke me hard. Ever since, I started to think about how I should properly keep up with my health as the workload seem to be never ending spartaneous.

But then, new deployment comes, and there I go . . . back to square one again. This time, I’ve been already struck with double absent ism due to common cold. In terms of the illness, it’s a better thing since its just a common cold compared to the previous. But in terms of health, I’m not progressing. With the upcoming works and deployments still unknown, I’ve gotta start off proving that I don’t seem wimpy and weak. Something must be DONE !!!

Hence, my mind has been pretty much occupied with ideas and concrete brainstorming on how to mitigate such things to happen again. Till now, I’ve come up with some sort of personal doctrine, which involves the need to keep up with my exercise and maintain it with proper supplements as well maintaining a balanced diet. As for supplements, I guess a twice a day intake of honey with be a must, a daily intake of milk and multivtamins at the morning and ginger aile with eucalyptus ointment when nite falls. Most of all, I really gotta start setting myself to do some daily workouts. At first, I guess I’m gonna start of low by walking round the apartment. I’m also thinking to buy a bike, But I guess that’s gonna wait till my monies allow me to do so.

As for now, I’lbetter get myself in goo shape ASAP as I’ve only 1 more day to recover before returning to the hell of office work. Jya ne . . . .

Draggin ma feet

Just realized it’s been almost a month since the last time I wrote somethin. My guess was around before Eid. If that’s so then gotta say Happy Eid Mubarak (masih sempet ngga’ ya :P ?). A month . . a whole lot of things have passed . . . its just a few weeks ago . . . but already seemed like a year ago.

I guess I’ll pick up before Eid. The aura in the office was already full of vacation leave. Luckily transactions followed suit around those days, so we were pretty much left with plenty of time to enjoy work. It was also during these times that we finally could go home on time !! :D. As we were meant to go home on 16.30, reality really bites for not able to do so. Thanks to the japs that really make life hard for socializing . . . .

Though it was a happy time that I could finally enjoy my Eid @ home after 2 years doing it abroad, the sensation was already different. I now had to do it in time constraints as collective leave was only given for 5 days. That equates to 4 days to me since I had to go back earlier due to the unluckiness of getting a ticket a day quicker than supposed to be. Though short, I just had to make the best of things, from seeing relatives to my girl.

My free day in Jakarta had to be filled up properly. But the word “properly” still means I have to do some left over home chores. So . . . before lingering round the city alone, some washing & cleaning had to be settled first. Cruising round the city, it sure was pleasant to enjoy the roads of Jakarta when most of its citizens are on leave to their home/ancestral towns. Wished things were always like this . . . .

But work called and there I was back again on my desk. This time, my final week in the FRD. Though things were still slow due to the vacation, I had to patch things up for my upcoming presentation and the transition to the next department. All those rounds of things really left my body kinda low on blood. Literally, I was already starting to drag my body around.

The next week, I was already on the credit service department. And as my previous mentor said, It’s not about the quantity here . . . it’s more on the quality side. The work gets more and more tedious with piles of paper work to finish of each every end of the day. There was almost one day that I even really felt I was literally already drowning inside the papers :-S.

With a shortage of workers and the rising pile of workload due to EoM . . . . . things were really gettin worst. I really made one cancellation and caused another one for my workmate. Not a really good thing to do while I’m still starting to get myself settled in the new dept. But really . . . . . with all those + the lack of proper health and stamina, working lately has really been a bloody struggle for me. Going back home really means just laying my back on the bed as I almost have literally no energy at all to do something worthwhile . . . Life has been degraded to just waiting for weekend to come and catch up with the missed sleep that have passed.

As things would still continue on . . . . with worsen conditions to expect, guess the only thing left is to drag my feet quicker and quicker to catch up with the pace of others . . . . . . . . .

I wish . . . . .

I wish…langit jakarta biru cerah tanpa polusi penuh timbal . . . I wish…jalanan jakarta lengang tanpa adanya kemacetan parah yang membuat dir ita di jalan . . . . . . I wish….jakarta tidak pernah banjir tiap tahunnya palagi 5 tahunan . . . . I wish….I wish….I wish ………

Macet sampe mencreeeettttttttt . . . . .

. . rasanya emang kejengkelanku akan macetnya Jakarta dah sampe ubun. I know bukan aku saja yang ngerasa demikian, I bet there’s millions. But the thing is, does anyone know how to settle such things that even the so called people who think and have the required capability and knowledge do so? Well . . . in this short writing, I’ld like to share a bit of my mind on how to settle the problems of traffic congestions in Jakarta. I know it might not please some people . . . but then . . . it’s worth a try ;)

1. Pemutihan SIM

. . nunggu . . . dan voila !! You’ve just got a driving license and ready to roll the streets of Indonesia >:).

But wait . . I don’t think so . . . coz it’s not just a matter of able to drive, but also a matter of how to act and behave on the street when driving. And to be honest, i really think most drivers in Indonesia do lack this basic knowledge and ability to behave appropriately and courteously. They might be good drivers in terms of skill but speaking of acting politely? We’re just mere noobs T.T

2. Pembenahan dan penambahan transportasi massal

As for this part, it’s not just about repairing and adding, it’s also about providing mass transportation that suits all kind of people regardless of their class.

. . hmmmm . . . Well, i think it all has to do with another fact that the public transportation in Indonesia are pretty much lousy and has a low class look to it. Add them up with the condition that they are frequently late and overcrowded; no wonder high class people get an ill feeling to ride them.
That’s one thing, but there are also many subsets of public transportation that needs to be mended. Aspects such as integration of every transportation mode, punctuality, infrastructure building and funding (and all other factors that I might have forgot or mentioned) all play a vital role in enabling a good and suitable public transportation mode to go on track.

3. Law Enforcement

Huehehehe . . . ok . Seringkali banyak pelanggaran (ok . . . try to list some of them, I’m just tired to do so xP) terjadi di jalanan tapi polisi malah membiarkannya.

Unless Indonesian people are already out of their minds, I’m sure the police can play their role in helping threading out traffic congestions ;)

4. Perangkat hukum

Terkait dengan poin sebelumnya diatas . . . . pemerintah kita kok kesannya lambat nan lelet tuk memberikan paying hukum yang memadai hiks...hiks...hiks... T_T

5. Political goodwill

Menjawab permasalahan poin diatas, nampaklah nyata kenapa pemerintah lelet. . . :(

6. Car producers

On this part . . . I’m quite ambivalent to say whether car producers have a role or not in making ou traffic congestion problems worst or not :-?. But, we just cannot deny the fact that Indonesia as one of the largest market for car producers, also contribute to the rising increase in car usage, especially on an individual level.

I bet there are other ingineous minds out there that can help and try to solve one of Indonesia’s worst problems. Feel free to comment ya ;)

Music Memories (Part 2)

1. Sparkling

One thing that always caughts me when listening to this song is how I first started to gain my own money by working part time as a butcher. In the midst of studying hard, this moment was a breakthrough to me as it challenged myself to do better and more. It also reminded me of the times when I had the spark of attraction to the opposite after quite some while.

2. My Heart Draws A Dream

Masa ketika sedang nganggur2nya setelah usai kuliah S1 . .

But now . . . it’s really just about the dances that inspires me and how that memory led on to a whole new eternity for me now ;)

MY 5 BEST GUNDAM MECHA’S

1. WING ZERO CUSTOM (XXXG - 00W0)

This mecha is nothing short of one word . . . BADASS!! And it really does live up to its name. The ability to bust up one space colony makes it pretty much overpowered. But that’s why I like it soooooo much :D. Not to mention its angel like wings make it a perfect gundam who can whip up the enemy frontline with a angelic look but devastating result :)). Too bad, the story of this mecha didn’t live long. But its legacy as one of the strongest gundam’s live on ;).

2. HI NU GUNDAM (RX-93-2)

This cool gundam could count as one of the best out there. It even inspired the making of Strike Freedom for the SEED series. With the best newtype pilot out there, it sure had a name for it self. The only shortback is that this mecha never really made it to the animation line as it was only depicted in the novel. Nevertheless, even thru the writing itself we can know the sheer power and ability of what this gundam can do >:).

3. 00 RAISER GUNDAM (GN-0000+0 RAISER)

I’ld say the series itself was a breakthrough in terms of story and design. Though it ended up not as what the series started in a hype as expected, this series to me rolled out one of the best designs and gundam to date. With all the techs and specs in it, it surely turned out to be one devastating weapon for a lad who turned out to be the first pure innovator. This in the end abled the mecha to unleash its full potential in battle. I’m hoping how it’s successor the 00 Qan[T] would carry on this mecha’s legacy :-?.

4. ZETA GUNDAM (MSZ-006)

Ok . . . . this might not be one of the strongest out there in terms of strength and firepower. But why I chose this was because this mecha is a breakthrough !! The first transformable gundam led to a huge series of transformable lines later on. In other words . . . its sort of a gran pa for the transforming gundams :D.

5. UNICORN GUNDAM (RX-0)

What took my attention of this gundam is its hidden mode underneath its skin. Though I’ve yet to see what this mecha can do more in the upcoming OVA’s, I’m already pretty much impressed by its design and potential strength that it poses due to the NT System it boasts. One last thing . . . it’s finally a UC mecha! The first one after ages . . . really an oldschool one :D.

The sky is your limit . . .

A really hard month . . . one tough month to be precise. Even though had my birthday at this month, it turned out to be one bloody and messy month in the end. Not to mention all these came during the holy month of Ramadhan (1st one in Indo after 2 years :D ). Hence, I felt that I’ve been pushed to the limits by the heavens both physically and mentally.

After novusland, more work was awaiting us. It wasn’t long after this that I got transferred to another unit within my ongoing department. As things looked easy before, things turned out hellish for the next couple of weeks. A series of faults, mistakes and errors in my work raised an alarm from other co-workers. This caused myself to be under scrutiny for my ability to do things correctly and timely.

It wasn’t bout work solely that made me into this. A volley of of work stuffs like preparing the TRP ifthtar, relationship quarrels and the decrease in body fitness and stamina added up to all the mess. On a physical side, I’ve already lost a whopping 6 kg in a mere 3 weeks (still counting) during fasting. Not to mention losing a couple of mL’s of blood due to frequent nosebleeds. Mentally? bloody tired and drained would be two words to help describe my condition.

When I thought all hell would be unleashed at me during this holy month, I then realized, it is at this very moments that my patience, firmness and consciousness is put to the ultimate test. I might be able to say such things rite now since the storm that I’ve been going thru has pretty much weathered away. But if I look back 3 weeks ago . . . damn . . . things were so low and poor for me. I even failed to think properly and calmly due to all the hectic and mess caused.

But what really caused me to do so? Ineptness to listen and implement given solutions would be one cause. My nature of listening things first while needing to internalize it later on seemed to not work and be accepted in the work place at they demanded quick and thorough response. And that gave me one punch. One more things was the lacking of anger and emotion venting for myself. It might sound stupid, but the ongoing pile of stress and workload also forced me for the need to vent out all negative excess emotions in myself in good and healthy manner . . . which I was obviously low on . . . . T_T

Therefore, with the slightest will to settle things, I embarked on a 2 day therapy session with my sweet psychologist to help me weather things up. In some ways it work but id does need more practice and patience. Another things is to keep my ears and heart open to new and constant critic from anyone. It’s not like my ability to mess things up was given in the first place, it was just about how I haven’t harnessed my potentials and even ended up neglecting myself.

Speaking of potentials, a small chat with my work mentor gave a little bit of flashback on how I’ve been neglecting my potentials and leaving them away unharnessed. When she asked how I would put my right and left arm together, she said that my position ended up with myself as someone who has high potentials in art . . . ART???? AAARRRTTTTTT???? Huahahahahaha . . . . . seriously . . . I was laughing in my heart when I heard this. Why coz I really do suck in this area. Even though I did learn the piano and painting when I was young, it never ever did any result nor caught my firm passion. Even if there was one art that I really put my passion to was martial arts.

However, things gave a turn when I told this to my mentor. She said that all my experiences were a waste since they had to stop at such early levels. I do admit so. And then she continued on that even such experience shows that I do have the potential to excel in arts. I just have to put more time, effort and passion in learning to do so. It’s such a waste to not let my experience continue on in these areas as all I needed was a little more effort and practice. Well . . well . . .well . . . that was one life lecture that really hit me. And I have to be honest that she was right on the spot.

With this, I was then left wondering, have I been neglecting a whole lot of things in my life where I actually could have been good at? Have I not given my 100% in all areas of my life?If the sky is my limit . . . than what means must I take to reach the sky??

PS : Why do I wonder that I end up with more and more answers :P

Learning . . . . BREEEAAAAKKKKK !!!!

AAaaarrrrgghhhhh . . . patah seakan patah beneran . . . the visit back to novus back was somehow .......errrrrrrrrrrrrr . . . emotionally drainful. With the hopes of simply rejuvenating myself . . . i guess i had put too much hopes on this visit.

I don’t know why at first . . . but slowly as the days past, i couldn’t deny the feeling that there was something wrong with me. It slowly started as a subtle sign of loneliness . . . withdrawal and tiredness. But i guess it took me almost the whole journey there to finally understand whats lingering inside me.
Side effects anyone?surely there was . . . and it almost came out really nasty as I felt the urge to suddenly punch someone in the face or even take a cigarette. Luckily neither was done, but those signs finally gave me the kickback that there was definitely something bad on me. And I had to do something soon at least to not let someone else hurt.

Why it happen. If u ask for a root, then i guess i’m kinda feelin fed up with all the routines around me. As u know from previous blogs, having “my” time lately has been really hard. Your life has been like a piece of cake, being sliced and given to other people leaving only nothing or at least a small portion for yourself. Good thing for others as they get to know u more, but for me . . . hmmppfff . . . can’t really say anything.

What can I say now is that I wanna keep a distance from the others for the moment, try to find back my lost soul and preserving what’s left of my sanity. One thing is for sure, the learning break did manage to break my mind into pieces. Good thing for me, it did kinda leave my head in a somewhat fragmented brain, making me into some kind of limbo. Gotta get back to my reality as life is to short to keep myself occupied in my breakness . . . .

Taking a toll. . .

Darn . . Jadinya kaya gini deh . . . Sekarang sih dah mendingan. But really, i need to boost my stamina as other busy things are waiting me to do.

Kerjapun demikian, semakin hari semakin memuncak kesibukannya. Things like reading . . . watching movies alone and writing has really been a luxurious thing for me to do lately. Such things that keeps my sanity in place is now being slowly eroded from the palm of my hands. It seems the next couple of weeks would be my struggle to take and fight back slowly my precious activities. If not, I might not end up not being myself. Just a mere self in a soulless fleshed container being a puppet of the surroundings.

And now with the BSMR gone, I’d really like to start do so. Try to find back my rhythm. Like it or not, it seems solitude has really been my best companion in one way or another as it is thru solitariness that I can gain a peace of mind of things thats strangles me. But then . . . this to . . . is one of the most things that is being taken away from me . . .

Alon alon asal kelakon . . . better i thing rather than taking a toll but it would just hurt me in the end . . .

Now . . . .

I can't stop melting from your kisses

I can't be mute when you're speaking

I can't stop longing for your hugs

I can't be blind upon your looks

but most of all . . .

I cannot deny on your gracefulness :)

Then . . . .

Dear . . . did you ever realize how lucky I am? For knowing and getting to know you . . .

For once ago . . . just seeing your photo was just ordinary . . . and now it feels so extraordinary

On hearing your name was then normal, now . . . it has made me above normal

As then I was hard ice . . . now I slowly melt upon you

And how you change me from extreme to modesty

And now . . . .

Music Memories (Part 1)

When i go thru the playlist of my iPod, same as it may be over the times, it always delivers the moments and images of life’s history. Reliving and reminiscing . . . I’ll slowly start a list of what says what ;)

1. Jojoshi . . . one of laruku’s best ballad 4 me ;). What’s special from this ballad is the sheer feeling of serenity and flowing passion of love. It brings me back on my bachelor days, still young and naive and at the very start of listening to larc’s song. I was damn intrigued by the lyrics which I knew was romantic and lyricfull. The sense of everlasting care despite the changing seasons 

2. Nanairo no Ashita~brand new beat . . . One of BoA’s songs that has the best dances. It reminds me of my time of slumber and finding of meaning in the early 2006s. With its cheerful lyrics and dances, it was able to inspire me through the times of lonliness back then.

3. No.1 . . . the one song from BoA that really hooked me up. Started from a mere coincidence of helping my brotha . . . it was me who in fact got mesmerized by the upbeat and flowing color of this song. Addig the PV, it really left itself in my playlist and to always remind me of letting someone to be always my No.1 ;)

4. When You Say Nothing At All . . . a song from my early high school times. The thought of this song back then was how letting the sense of silence with our loved ones enabled the progress of even better understanding each other. You don’t have to talk too much, just let your hearts to listen to each other and feel how serenity can help heal and bond.

5. Drink It Down . . . one of the rockiest songs I’ve heard till now . . . still....courtesy of larc. It gave me the thought of hitting everything in my way back then when I was still putting my foundation on studies in Perth. To drink down every suffer, pain and discontent, that lead me to focus my thoughts on study which Alhamdulillah succeeded.

That’ll be all for now. I’ll be sure to make a continuation of this as there ae plenty more to write down to. Jya ne ;)
